Frequently Asked Questions

The Lawn Professionals love answering questions about lawns... here are some of the most common.

1

Q - Why should I use professionals for lawn care when I could do it myself?

A - Without the professional equipment the work can be very manual and less effective (believe us - we’ve scarified with a rake and aerated with a garden fork - it’s hard!). We also have deep knowledge of the best treatments to apply, which are not available in garden centres or shops and require professional qualifications to apply them.

2

Q - What makes you different from other lawn care providers?

A - We are independent, so have flexibility to use treatments tailored to your lawn. We can react to local conditions (eg in times of drought we quickly can switch from granular to liquid feeds, which reduces the need for watering). We also use organic fertilisers to nurture the soil and benefit your garden for the longer term.

3

Q - Does someone need to be at home when you work on our lawn?

A - No, as long as we can access your lawn then you do not need to be present. We will contact you before a visit to let you know we are coming.

4

Q - Are your lawn treatments safe for pets & children?

A - Yes, although we ask customers to keep their pets & children off the lawn for 3 hours immediately after treatment to ensure it is most effective. For grazing pets (rabbits, guinea pigs, etc) we will leave part of the lawn untreated for them.

5

Q - How much do you charge?

A - We have standard pricing for each type of work, adjusted for your lawn size. After an initial conversation, we’ll provide a transparent quote with no hidden costs. We are confident we offer fantastic value for money.

6

Q - Which areas do you cover?

A - We serve customers in the following towns, villages and surrounding areas: Reading, Twyford, Wokingham, Arborfield, Sonning, Henley, Marlow & Maidenhead.
